Grove was founded in 1947 in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania, by brothers John and Dwight Grove along with Wayne Nicarry, who built the first rubber-tired hydraulic mobile crane. The company grew into one of the world's leading mobile hydraulic crane manufacturers, joining the Manitowoc Company's crane portfolio in 2002 and celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2022.
